As taught at our church’s monthly ladies meeting by Mrs. Susan Hutchens, our pastor’s wife.
There was a show several years ago entitled Extreme Makeover, on which the “experts” took extreme measures to change people’s appearances. Each person was always grateful to have these changes made, and I once saw a father cry from happiness over the changes in his daughter. I wonder what kind of extreme changes God would like to see in us, and what He would do in our lives if we allowed Him to perform His Extreme Makeover?
* Lose Weight
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,…” Hebrews 12:1

“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” Proverbs 15:1
– Sweet lips:
“The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.” Proverbs 16:21
Children will learn better when my attitude is right and reflected in my speech.
– Speak the truth in love:
“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:” Ephesians 4:14-15

3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
3:12 ¶ Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
